About Me

My Story

In my final year or university, I decided I no longer wanted to pursue what I had studied. I decided instead to embark on a new journey teaching English in Spain. There I learned my love of languages and traveling to new cities and countries. When I’m not working or traveling, I enjoy watching travel TV shows, reading books, and supporting my favorite sports teams.

I love languages. Obviously English is my native language, and I learned Spanish in school. I also took one semester of Portuguese. One of my biggest mistakes in college was not taking Portuguese earlier. Then, while living in Spain, I picked up some Catalan. I can read it ok, but it makes me too nervous to speak it. I really want to learn more Portuguese and other languages, such as Italian or Swedish.

I also love helping people learn languages. I spent two years teaching English in Tarragona, Spain, and I am going back to Spain to do a masters in Bilingual Education and teach English at a school in Madrid. I don’t know if I want to be in the classroom forever, but I definitely want to make it possible for people to learn another language. The more languages you know, the more people you can communicate with.

My goal is to visit as many countries as I possibly can. So far I’ve been to 21 of the 196 countries. They are:

USA
Mexico
Bahamas
Spain
France
Germany
Luxembourg
Belgium
Netherlands
Sweden
United Kingdom
Czech Republic
Poland
Hungary
Italy
Vatican City
Norway
Austria
Slovakia
