Four years ago, I went to my first Rockies game. I had liked the Rockies before, but I really began to love them that day. My only problem: I live nowhere close to Colorado. Every year I look at the schedule and hope that the Rockies will play the Nationals or the Orioles. Finally, I convinced my parents to buy me tickets to see the Rockies play the Nationals! Play ball!
One of my dreams is to get to travel for work. Last weekend, I was given the opportunity to do just that. This summer, I’m working with international students who have come to my home city to learn and improve their English. Part of their program was a 4-day trip to New York City. It had been eleven years since I last went to New York. Fun and chaos ensued.
In January, I did something pretty incredible: I ran the Disney Marathon in Orlando, Florida. Now, I’m not going to put you through the details of that race since this is a travel blog, but the race was a lot of fun. But one of the biggest highlights of my trip to Florida was going to Universal Studios for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
If you read my earlier posts, you’ll know that I’m going back to Spain in a few months. I love Spain, but man, the visa process can be very stressful. It can take months to compile all the documents, and a lot of money, especially if you want to get the documents faster, like me.

The school I work at is going through their end-of-the-year statewide tests and it’s exhausting taking care of everything. So, in the honor of June coming and to brighten up this stressful week, I’ve decided we all need a little more barbecue in our lives. I think I may have found the best barbecue (at least in Virginia): BBQ Exchange.
Since I’ve been home, I’ve been looking for the excitement and beauty in my own state of Virginia instead of only feeling satisfied by European culture. I’ve lived here since January 2001, so sometimes it can get boring. But then other times I realize how much of this state I have not seen.
When most people plan a vacation, they usually tend to be on the coasts: California, Florida, New York. Not many people think to go for a vacation in the middle states. But here’s a tip: go to Colorado.
Now you may be thinking, “Hey, there are no beaches or no monuments. Why should I got to Colorado?”
Are you kidding me? I love Colorado! My dream is the live in Europe, but if I don’t get that chance, Colorado is definitely on top of my list for places to live. Here’s why.

I’m a die-hard Denver Broncos fan. My mom was raised and Denver and my dad has family from the area as well. I’ve never known anything other than being a Broncos fan. One of my greatest memories was coming home to find out the Broncos won Super Bowl XXXII and then rushing down to San Diego to see them going back to their hotel.
